Mike joined Fairfield Geotechnologies in January 2022 with 34 years’ experience in Health Safety and Environment, Sales, and Project development. In his current role as Vice President, Business Development Manager, Bertness focuses on industry leading asset development strategies in the Permian Basin and brings to Fairfield a history of subsurface development. Mike has a phenomenal global acumen and has managed crews in Africa and along the U.S. Gulf Coast. Mike specializes in high trace density acquisition, permitting, and regulatory affairs and is passionate about bridging customers together for collaborative solutions that benefit the entire upstream value chain.

Mike graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Safety from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1988.
